Le Grand Bistro and Oyster Bar

A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to attend the preview of the newest restaurant in Downtown Denver, Le Grand Bistro & Oyster Bar. Le Grand Bistro opened late last month in the former Baur’s space, at 15th and Curtis. The restaurant aims to recreate the feeling of Parisian bistros and brasseries; and emphasize classic French food.

Housed in a historic building, adjacent to the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, the space is dark and cozy, perfect for a bottle of wine after a show. The food didn’t disappoint either, with my selections ranging from house-made head cheese to the chicken liver pate.

Le Grand Bistro & Oyster Bar is the newest concept from Robert Thompson – the man behind the Argyll and the soon – to – open Punch Bowl/Social Food and Drink. Grab a ticket to a show, and swing by Le Grand Bistro & Oyster bar for a pre-show dinner or a night cap.
