H Burger Lounge, a new eatery, plans to open in a ground floor space of the Sugar Cube project right on the 16th Street Mall at 1555 Blake in early 2010. Roughly 3,500 SF in size, H Burger will serve “premium burgers, contemporary cocktails, nitrogen milkshakes, signature sandwiches, hand cut fries and custom salads”. I posted about a tour I took of the project in July of 2008.
I noticed the liquor license application sign in the window two weekends ago and when I walked by last Friday I noticed new signs. Burger concepts are very in vogue right now and this will be the first of its kind in Downtown Denver. I think this is great because it is a local establishment with a local chef that reportedly will have very affordable prices and a full bar. I look forward to trying my first nitrogen milkshake soon.
I found an article (page 3 of the PDF at the bottom on the right) from QSR Magazine that interviewed Chef Richard Blais where he explains how he uses nitrogen in both milkshakes and for french fries at Flip Burger Boutique in Atlanta. I wonder if H Burger Lounge will be similar to this?
